Spanish Course Methodology

Our classes are entirely in Spanish, even at the basic levels. Our Spanish teachers have years of experience teaching in this situation so even though you may not know a single word to begin with, you will be surprised just how much you will pick up in a very short time. We use complete Spanish immersion so that you get used to hearing and using the language. The more you hear and experiment with Spanish, the easier it will be to understand it and apply it in real life situations.

Our classes are orientated towards the communicative development of our students both orally and written.

Most of our staff have experienced learning other languages and being in a country where we don't know their language. We know exactly what it's like to be in this type of situation and the types of things you need to know in order to get by (and basically survive without getting into too much trouble). That's why we teach you what you really need to know to get by and enjoy your time here, things which often cannot be found in any typical Spanish book.

Since all of our Spanish courses are very personalized, we focus the classes on the individual student's needs. We don't restrict the students by making them go through a book in class little by little (you can do that at home) since we want our students to learn real Spanish that they can really use in day to day life.

Over the years we have created our own material including many interactive activities and games that won't be found elsewhere. Our teaching methodology and academic material is continually being updated to relate to the modern world.

Newly implemented Interactive electronic whiteboards (including wireless pads) with real images and audio making it even more advanced (and interesting) than the traditional interactive ones. Why waste time waiting for a teacher to copy things onto a normal whiteboard? Ever notice how they are in the way too while you're trying to copy! :) With our Interactive whiteboard system that doesn't happen here.

Each student that takes a course of 20 hours of more receives a Woodward Folder that contains additional study material that can be completed at home and also tips and useful information about Chile. We also have on-line help once you return home to your home country should you ever need any additional help.

After every 20 hours that a student completes, we do a level evaluation to see how they are progressing and see whether they can advance to the next level or not. After each evaluation we also give a report about the student's strengths and weaknesses and how to improve in those areas.

Visit our Free Spanish Help Forum where teachers are able to help you with any questions you may have before you come, while you're here and when you're back home.
